Anita Sarkeesian has been a Canadian and American feminist media critic for more than 20 years. She's well-known as a public speech writer. Feminist Frequency hosts videos, commentaries and analysis of how popular culture depicts women. Anita Sarkeesian was a Canadian as well as an American feminist media critic. Feminist Frequency is an educational site for non-profit organizations that explores the representations of females in the popular media narratives. The challenge of destroying stereotypes regarding women is the main goals of her work. In addition, Sarkeesian discusses issues of targeted harassment against women online and other minorities which have been excluded. Sarkeesian who has the degree of Master's in the field of Social and Political Thought in the field of social and political thought from York University, is a well-known public speakers. She has given speeches at TEDxWomen's XOXO Festival and the United Nations Broadband Working Group for Gender. Passionate about issues of gender and feminism since the age of 7, she started her own website Feminist Frequency in 2009, while studying at the University. A woman with ambitions to launch a web-series that would examine the gender representation of video games was targeted by the internet campaign. But the harassment did not hinder her. It only strengthened her as a feminist journalist. In recognition of the many contributions she has made to feministism, she's awarded numerous prizes. Anita Sarkeesian was a multi-award award-winning journalist. She is also the director and founder of Feminist Frequency an educational and non-profit group that focuses on pop-culture depictions of women.
