Amber Benson is an American actress singer writer director and producer. Her most famous character is Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Additionally, she has directed, produced and performed in her own movies Chance & Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was the child, born on January 8, 1977, of Edward and Diane Benson. She has a younger sister Danielle, who works as an artist. Benson, whose father is Jewish while her mother is Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson's acting career continues to grow following the ending of Buffy. Benson was a part of films like The Killing Jar, and shows like Morganville The Series. In front of the camera, she used her talents as a writer in writing The Ghosts of Albion and direct projects like the 2010's Drones.
