Kari Sam Wuhrer, born on April 28, 1968, is an American actor and singer. She began her acting career when she was just a teen. Her most well-known role is for playing Maggie Beckett on the TV series Sliders and also in the role of Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror-comedy film Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was raised in Brookfield Connecticut as her mother was Karin Noble who was employed as a cashier, and German American Andrew Wuhrer. She has three sisters and brothers. She started singing at clubs as a teenager, and often would leave her home to perform. Kari Wuhrer was an American model, performer and actress. Her acting career at Wooster School when she was thirteen years old. Born in Brookfield on April 28th in 1967. Her father is both a German American policeman as well as a salesperson for autos. Kari is the youngest of three kids. As a teen, Kari performed in nightclubs by sneaking away from her home. Kari was studying acting by the time she was 13. She then studied drama at Tisch School of the Arts in New York University and Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College, as well as The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, with Uta Hagen, who is a well-known instructor. Kari was introduced to acting when she was 13, and she got her big break in 1987 when she appeared on MTV Remote Control.
