Carol Lynley

She is best known for her roles on the movies Blue Denim (1959), The Poseidon Adventure (1872) as well as The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was raised in Manhattan by an Irish mother and New England father. She started her career as a child model prior to becoming an actor. She was nominated for the Theatre World Award for "one of the most promising actors 1956-2005" for her part in The Potting Shed. Lynley's film career started in 1958 with the Disney movie The Light in the Forest. Holiday for Lovers (1959), Blue Denim (1959) followed. The film was nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer Female. She was nominated to the Golden Globe Award again for Most Promising Youngcomer Female in the year following in the film Blue Denim.
